Sand Casting Workshop
Apr

Sand Casting Workshop

$275

In this three-hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of sand casting and leave with a finished sterling silver signet ring. This class is perfect for those who love organic, raw styles—sand casting has a mind of its own, often leaving behind subtle imprints of sand and tiny imperfections that add to the ring’s character (we love the results!).

You’ll start by choosing from a selection of one-of-a-kind wax or metal ring models before creating a mold in sand. Once the mold is ready, you’ll work alongside an instructor to melt down scrap silver and pour it into your mold. After casting, we’ll cover filing, sanding, and polishing so you can refine your ring to your liking.

Attendees can re-cast their rings up to three times, as not every pour is successful—but that’s part of the process! This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to experiment with metalworking, and if you’ve taken a jewelry-making class with us before, it’s a great next step to build on your skills while learning something new.

Led by: Allie of Laurel & Co.

This jewelry workshop is offered through our sister site, Laurel & Co. You’ll be redirected there to sign up.
