Linocut Workshop

In this three-hour Linocut Workshop, participants will learn the basics of relief printmaking by carving a 4 × 6 inch linoleum block and printing their own original design. You’ll be guided through simple techniques for transferring an image, safe carving methods, and hand-printing with a selection of provided inks. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a finished print as well as your carved block, which can be used as a stamp to create more prints at home. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials are included.

  • Open to beginners — no prior experience required.

    -Lino cutting tool set

    -Water based block printing ink (black, white, + primary colors)

    -Brayers & inking plates

    -Barens

    -Pencils and transfer paper

    -Bench hook

    -Printing paper

    Participants leave with their finished prints and blocks to continue creating at home
