Intro to Weaving Course

$450.00

Course Dates: Wednesday Evenings, June 17th - July 8th 6-8pm

This immersive course includes 8 hours of hands-on woven tapestry instruction, covered over 4 days. Each student will learn the basics of tapestry weaving on a lap loom through various fiber projects in a warm and encouraging environment. 

Students will learn a number of technical skills, including common fiber types and their characteristics, warping the loom, a variety of weaving stitches, finish techniques, and how to troubleshoot common mistakes. At the end of the course, students will be able to create a woven tapestry of their own design and will leave excited and confident to continue weaving on their own.

No prior weaving experience is required and this course is beginner friendly.

This course includes:

  • 8 hours of instructor-led coursework

  • Fibers for all projects (includes a variety of materials)

  • Lap loom to keep after the course

  • All tools and equipment needed for the duration of the course

    Free open studio hours throughout the duration of the course
