Open Sew
Looking to level up your sewing projects with a little guidance? Join us for Open Sew, an assisted open workshop designed for those who already know the basics of sewing but want support on a personal project and enjoy creating in community.
Bring your creativity and your project—whether it’s alterations, upcycling or crafting something entirely new. Our instructor will be on hand to help you set up your machine, provide advice on tricky steps, and answer questions as you go. If you have your own sewing machine, we highly recommend bringing it for this class so you can get comfortable learning the ins and outs of your machine, otherwise you're welcome to use one of our class sewing machines.
This class is perfect if you:
Want a second set of eyes before making that first cut.
Need clarification on specific techniques.
Crave a collaborative space to work on your sewing projects.
If your project is highly specialized or requires in-depth one-on-one guidance, we recommend inquiring about private lessons to ensure you get the support you need.
Please note, you must have recent sewing experience in order to attend. To be eligible to sign up, students must have completed our Intro to Sewing Course OR have proficient understanding and application of how to use a home sewing machine including threading the machine, winding a bobbin, adjusting stitches & stitch settings and changing presser feet.
