Two-Part Sewing Workshop // Linen Knot Top

  • Fleur 13 East 4th Avenue Denver, CO, 80203 United States (map)
$200.00

Thursday Evenings, June 20th & 27th 5:30-8pm

This Sewing 101 class will cover how to use a home sewing machine and teach students how to complete a basic project: drafting and sewing your own knot top. Students will learn how to take their own measurements, how to translate these measurements to fabric and make adjustments, and how to cut fabric and prepare it for sewing. We will also go over the basics of using a home sewing machine - how to get set up, sewing workstation ergonomics, how to thread a machine, how to wind a bobbin, using a straight stitch and two seam finishes (french seam & double fold).

For this project, we will be using linen fabrics - students will be able to select from one of three fabric colorways: black, cream or tangerine print on oatmeal. Students will also be given care instructions for their finished garments.

All fabric and materials are included in the workshop fee, including use of our sewing machines. If you already own a sewing machine and would like to practice on it, you are welcome to bring your own.
