This wax carving class walks students through the in-depth process of carving their own signet ring! Students will have the option to choose between various wax ring shapes to design their ring. Shapes range from cigar band, square signet and rounded signet. Students will familiarize themselves with wax carving techniques, and carving tools such as: a wax ring sizer, files, jewelers saw, millimeter calibrator, compass, straight edge, sandpaper and an alcohol lamp. We will use these tools to carve out the students' desired ring during this three hour class. Lenora will be hands-on in guiding you through the process.
We will send the final wax product out to our casting company. The turnaround time is approximately 3 to 4 weeks.The workshop price includes a brass ring. For sterling silver or gold, we can provide pricing details during the workshop.
